William Cook, who is based in Nairobi, is an expert on payments, the structure of the financial markets, and digital business models. William had a number of positions in the financial services industry prior to joining CGAP, including six years working in the consulting and audit divisions of Ernst & Young LLP.  A Certified Public Accountant is William. He graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School. He also possesses a Master of Information Systems degree from Michigan State University.
